From the creators of the U.K. documentaries Fixing Dad and The Fixing Challenge, Fixing Us debuts for U.S. audiences on Sept. 10.
Fixing Us, an international health-engagement organization that creates original, authentic inter-generational reality content for consumers, patients and healthcare professionals, has teamed up with NBCUniversal Local to bring Fixing Us, a new four-episode health and wellness series to U.S. audiences on its 11 NBC-owned stations and multicast networks Cozi TV and LX News this fall. Fixing Us has also produced Fixing Dad and The Fixing Challenge for U.K. audiences.
“Fixing Us is an inspiring, uplifting program that highlights the incredible power of the human spirit and the importance of supporting and encouraging our loved ones,” said Meredith McGinn, Executive vice president of diginets and original production, NBCUniversal Local. “We are proud to showcase these unique stories to our audiences across the NBC owned stations, Cozi TV and LX News.”
Fixing Us takes viewers on journeys that inspire others to take control of their health and wellbeing to live better, happier and healthier lives — and support others in their efforts. Fixing Us airs beginning Sept. 10 in prime access on most stations. New episodes will debut Saturdays through Oct. 2.
“We are thrilled to partner with NBCUniversal Local and bring FIXING US to viewers from coast to coast,” said Rohin Malhotra, Fixing Us, co-creator and executive producer. “We hope our original content, created specifically for the NBC owned stations group, will inspire millions and resonate with so many across the US who are on their own health and mental wellness journeys.”
Each half-hour episode, captured partially through the use of state-of-the-art self-filming technology, documents the experience of an individual who struggles with, addresses, and overcomes serious physical and mental health challenges with the support of their family and through the guidance of health experts. NBC owned stations, COZI TV and LX News are offering opportunities for local and national advertising through multiple platforms.
Fixing Us will air on NBC owned stations in the following markets: New York (WNBC), Los Angeles (KNBC), Chicago (WMAQ), Philadelphia (WCAU), Dallas-Fort Worth (KXAS), San Francisco Bay Area (KNTV), Washington, D.C. (WRC-TV), Boston (WBTS), Miami-Fort Lauderdale (WTVJ), San Diego (KNSD) and Hartford, Conn. (WVIT). Fixing Us content will also be provided on the NBC owned stations’ digital platforms.
In addition, Fixing Us will air on multicast network Cozi TV, which is available on 140 NBC affiliated stations across the U.S., as well as Dish Network (ch. 252), Fubo TV and Hulu Live.
The series can also be watched on LX News at LX.com, over-the-air (OTA) TV in 46 U.S. markets, on Xfinity, Cox Cable, Optimum, Spectrum and Verizon systems in select markets, on Peacock, Roku, Xumo and Apple TV, and via YouTube TV, Fubo TV and Hulu + Live TV.
